Thinking of deleting your Pocket Casts sync account?

If there’s anything you need help with first, do let us know. Deleting a Pocket Casts account is irreversible. So, once your account is deleted, there is no way to restore it.

Please note that although you can create a new Pocket Casts account with the same email address, all your previous data, including subscriptions, playback history, and settings, will be permanently lost.

If you’re sure you want to delete your account, you can follow these steps:

  1. Open the Pocket Casts app
  2. Click on the Profile tab
  3. Click on “Account”
  4. Scroll down and click on “Delete account” at the bottom of the screen

Technically, there is no way to restore a Pocket Casts account once it has been deleted. The process is permanent and irreversible.

However, if you still have a device that shows all your followed podcasts, Up Next queue, and so on—even if it is not logged in to an account—you can create a new account as a workaround. The steps to follow are:

  1. Find a device that still has all your followed podcasts, Up Next queue, and so on available on it.
  2. From that device, go to Profile.
  3. Tap “Set up account.”
  4. Select any of the following options to create a new account:
    • Continue with Google
    • Continue with Apple (iOS only)
    • Sign Up

After you create your new account, it will start synchronizing the device-only information with our servers. This way, you can later access the same information on any device after it is logged in to your Pocket Casts account.
