How to give Pocket Casts unrestricted battery access?

To ensure Pocket Casts can run properly, we recommend giving the app ‘Unrestricted’ Battery usage access. To do this, you could do the following:

  1. Go to your Phone Settings > Apps
  2. Select Pocket Casts, then tap on Battery
  3. Set the Battery Usage setting to Unrestricted

 

How can I give unrestricted battery access on Pixel?

Follow these steps on your Pixel (Android 13+) to set Pocket Casts to Unrestricted battery usage:

  1. Go to your Phone Settings > Apps
  2. Tap “See all apps” (if needed), then find and tap Pocket Casts
  3. Tap Battery
  4. Tap “App battery usage”
  5. Choose Unrestricted or Allow background usage.

On some Pixels running Android 14+, you may first see a switch like Allow background usage; make sure it is enabled, then tap the text itself to open the Optimized / Restricted / Unrestricted options.
