You enjoy your favorite podcasts in Pocket Casts and you can also add your favorite audio and video files, so you can experience everything in one place.

Once added, your audio and video files are available in the Android and iOS app from Profile arrows/simple/arrow-right-smaller.svg Files.

These pages will guide you through basics of file support in the mobile app:

Note:

You can tell if a file is downloaded because it will have a checkmark icon under the name of the file.

You can’t star, archive or share user files.

User files only appear in the Files section, and the player. They won’t be in your playlists, podcasts or other places, nor shown in your Listening History. Files cannot be added to Playlists.

In the Web / Desktop Player you can view files by clicking on Files in the sidebar menu, or using the direct link for Uploaded Files: https://pocketcasts.com/uploaded-files

Mouse over the file’s title to view more options including: Play next, Play last, Mark as played, Edit, Download file, and Delete.

These pages will guide you through basics of file support in the Web / Desktop Player:

User files only appear in the Files section, Up Next, and the player. They won’t be in your playlists, smart playlists, podcasts or other areas of the app.

We don’t support starring, archiving, or sharing media added through the Files feature.
