The podcast artwork that Pocket Casts displays is supplied by podcast authors. The mobile app should refresh the artwork itself when the author changes it, but if it doesn’t you can use the steps below to force a refresh.
To refresh the artwork for all podcasts:
- Tap the Profile tab
- Tap Settings
- Select Appearance
- Tap Refresh All Podcast Artwork
For the Android app, if you still see the old artwork after this, try clearing the app cache.
To refresh an individual podcast’s artwork:
- Go to that podcast’s page
- Long press the podcast artwork
- Tap Refresh Artwork
Episode and Chapter Artwork
Some podcasts include per-episode and per-chapter artwork. Pocket Casts supports both feed-based episode artwork (specified in the RSS feed by the podcast publisher) and artwork embedded directly in the episode audio files. The feed-based image is used first when available, and embedded artwork is used as a fallback. You can view episode and chapter artwork in the full screen player by turning on the following setting:
Profile > Settings > Appearance > Use Episode Artwork
Note: Pocket Casts does not support adding your own custom artwork for a podcast.
