Pocket Casts for Android TV is currently in beta. The app runs on Google TV and Android TV devices, including the Google TV Streamer, Chromecast with Google TV, Nvidia Shield, and Android TV boxes. It requires Android 9 or later.
While the app is in beta, you can get early access to it by opting in to our Android public beta. See Beta Testing for how to join.
- Streaming only. Episodes can’t be downloaded on a TV, so a playlist filtered by downloaded episodes will show no episodes on this device.
- Playlists are playback only. You can play your playlists on the TV, but creating, editing, and deleting them is done in the mobile or desktop apps.
We’ll publish a full guide to the app once it leaves beta.
If you’d rather not join the beta, you can use Chromecast to play podcast episodes on your Android TV or Google TV from your phone or tablet.
