Getting iOS Analytics (Crash) Logs

In this guide

To help troubleshoot bugs such as crashes, freezes, high CPU usage, or unusual battery drain, our support team may ask you to send your iOS Analytics logs. iOS records these automatically, and they can reveal what the app was doing when a problem occurred.

How to Find and Share Your iOS Analytics Logs (iOS 11 or Later)

  1. On your iPhone or iPad, go to Settings > Privacy & Security > Analytics & Improvements > Analytics Data. (On older iOS versions this is Settings > Privacy > Analytics & Improvements > Analytics Data.)
  2. Scroll through the list — it is alphabetical — to find entries that begin with podcasts. Pocket Casts logs are filed under the app’s internal name podcasts, not under “Pocket Casts,” so look in the “p” section.
  3. Tap one of the podcasts entries to open it.
  4. Tap the share icon in the top-right corner.
  5. Share the file with our support team — attach it to your existing support conversation if you have one, or send it from the app via Profile > Help & Feedback > Get Support. If you have a ticket number, please include it.

These Analytics logs are different from the app’s in-app debug logs. If you don’t see any podcasts entries in the list, you can instead send your debug logs by following Collecting App Logs.
