You can launch the Sonos app from your iOS or Android device and connect your Pocket Casts account to Sonos according to these steps:

  1. Open the Sonos App: Start by launching the Sonos app on your iOS or Android device.
  2. Navigate to Settings: Tap on the Settings tab located at the bottom of your screen to access the settings menu.
  3. Access Services & Voice: Within the settings menu, select Services & Voice to proceed.
  4. Add a Service: Scroll down to the Music & Content section and tap on Add a Service.
  5. Select Pocket Casts: Find Pocket Casts from the list of available services and tap on it.
  6. Add to Sonos: Tap Add to Sonos to begin the integration process.
  7. Enjoy your podcasts!

You can launch the Sonos app from your Mac or PC and add Pocket Casts to your Sonos account by following these steps:

  1. Open the Sonos App: Launch the Sonos application on your Mac or PC.
  2. Select a Music Source: Look for the Select a Music Source section on the right side of the app.
  3. Add Music Services: Click on Add Music Services to explore available options.
  4. Choose Pocket Casts: From the list of services, select Pocket Casts by clicking on it.
  5. Follow On-Screen Instructions: Proceed with the setup by following the on-screen instructions to integrate Pocket Casts with your Sonos system.

If you’re having trouble connecting to Sonos, it would be a good idea to check the following:

  1. Make sure that your internet connection is working and stable.
  2. Restart your Sonos device.
  3. Check for Sonos system software updates, and update if needed.

If the issue persists, please also check the Sonos Network Status.

At the moment, listening on Sonos doesn’t contribute to the listening stats in Pocket Casts.

Sonos communicates directly with the Pocket Casts servers. So, if certain podcasts are not showing up in Sonos, it may be that you followed those podcasts on your mobile app while logged out of your Pocket Casts sync account. As a result, no follow information was sent to our servers. To remedy this, here are some steps you can follow:

  1. On your Pocket Casts mobile app, make sure you are logged in to your sync account in the Profile tab and that there are no errors there.
  2. While still on the mobile app, unfollow the podcast you do not see on Sonos.
  3. Re-follow the podcast.
  4. Head back to the Profile tab and click “Refresh Now.”
  5. Check if the podcast now appears in Sonos.

Sonos S1 controllers don’t support the latest security standards and fail to fetch content with many redirects. This issue occurs with other apps as well. The solution would be to upgrade to the S2 controller if your device is compatible with S2.
